Ethan has always loved water splashing his face. Once, when he was about nine months old, he and I were a few blocks away from our house in Cleveland Heights when a cold, pelting rain began. Yes, they are! We were wearing shorts. Sometimes the coats are for weather that the locals experience as cold. Light sweaters and jackets are often to cover the skin to avoid the sun. It is common for locals to be wearing pants, sweaters, hats, and cloth covering the face while we are roasting in shorts.
